Radical Buddhist monk “Ashin Wirathu” seeks back the Buddhist incitement against the Rohingya minority community in Arakan State through personal accounts on social networking sites.
Agency correspondent reported that the personal page of Wirathu in Facebook published fabricated news about secret meetings inside a Muslim mosques with the aim of planning and conspiracy to Buddhism and its followers several days ago; what led to the spread of fear and spread terror in the vicinity of the mosque area, and the escape of a number of Buddhists from their homes in anticipation of the coming campaigns against them, according to the news fabricated by Wirathu.
Local observers said that the current attempts by the monk to escalate the situation against Rohingya come in the context of his plans for the systematic purge in Arakan State of any Muslim presence and make it a pure Buddhist region amid fears the success of the ongoing attempts to Buddhists moderates are demanding the Government of Myanmar to pursue peace and coexistence among all the followers of religions and ethnic groups different in the state.
