At least seven Rohingya houses were set on fire in the town of Maungdaw in the border state of Arakan with Bangladesh
One of the villagers told Arakan news agency that the fire broke out at around 1:00 am on Wednesday in the village of Shuja Dia on the northern side of the city of Maungdaw, an ancient village with 100% Muslim population.
The authorities prevented the villagers from reaching the scene of the fire to extinguish it, and sources indicated that the authorities are seeking to arrest the owner of the house from which the fire broke out.

Arakan province, especially the villages still inhabited by Rohingya Muslims, is located in the cities of Maungdaw, Buthidaung, Tambro and Rathidaung.
