An innocent Rohingya was killed by Border Guard Police (BGP) on false accusations of having connection with rebel groups in Maungdaw, Arakan, according to the ANA correspondent.

BGP officials arrested the Rohingya man named Moulovi Anisur Rahman, aged around 22, son of Moulovi Siraj from Gaw Du Tara Village in Maungdaw on the night of July 5th.

He was under severe torture for a long period of time until he passed away in custody on 28th of July 2016, with baseless accusations of having connections with Rohingya rebel groups.

The victims lifeless body was send to the local Hospital but the family was not allowed to have the victim’s dead body for last rituals as BGP cruelly on him might be revealed.

It is noteworthy that Myanmar government frequently carries out hate crimes on Rohingya victims without common humanity.
