Al-Azhar ends the construction of a mosque and three wells in the camps of the Rohingya in Bangladesh

Sheikh Mohammed Al-Abd, the head of the medical and relief convoys in Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, said that a mosque and three water wells have been completed at the Kutubpalong 2nd camp ofnthe Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh.

Al-Abd said in a statement to Al-Ahram Gate on Monday that during the visit of the Al-Azhar relief mission last November to the Rohingya refugee camps,  “The cost of the relief convoy sent by Al-Azhar to the camps was about five million pounds, and was donated through the management of medical aid with the approved by the government.”

The official of the medical and relief convoys in Al-Azhar Al-Sharif revealed a number of relief and medical convoys during the coming period. The first of them will be next Wednesday to the Bir al-Abed area, followed by two convoys during the months of January and February. The first is to Burkina Faso. And the second convoy to the state of Chad, at the request of its president.

He explained that the relief includes at least 13 medical specialties, and that the convoy that visited Chad previously conducted the detection of about 13 thousand Chadian, and carried out 296 operations in just 8 days.
