A Rohingya refugee died on Wednesday in the Malaysian city of Segamat while returning home from his workplace at 8 pm, local sources said.
According to the Sinar Harian newspaper published in Malay language in Malaysia, the deceased named was Abu Mansour as he was returning from the restaurant where he works, and as he was leaving for home, the experiencing pain and vomited later fell to the ground.
The newspaper added that his colleagues at work helped him immediately after seeing him and tried to provide first aid but he passed away.
The man, who is close to the man, said he lived in the city – which is just a few hours away from the capital Kuala Lumpur – and recently started working at the restaurant.
They said he was well-mannered, religious, and loved by everyone and showed no signs of serious illness
A security spokesman in the area said that as soon as there was a report about the incident they rushed to the scene, they saw the body and found no physical injuries or weapons at the scene that could have been used against him. They therefore filed the initial report with the competent authorities and sent the deceased’s body to Tawanku Jaafar Hospital.
