A Rohingya man was brutally killed on Saturday by Buddhist extremists in the city of Akyab, capital of Arakan state in Myanmar, after a minor traffic accident between two motorbikes.
Rohingya sources said a minor traffic accident occurred at around 9:30 am in front of the University of Akyab near Muslim areas between a motorcycle belonging to a Rohingya man and a Buddhist man that caused minor injuries to both men.
Witnesses told Arakan news agency that security forces near the scene allowed the Buddhist man to be taken to hospital for treatment. As they left the Muslim man in the hands of some Buddhist extremists, those dragged the Muslim man into the university and later the Muslim man’s body was found in the hospital by his family members.
Local residents believe that Buddhist extremists severely tortured the Rohingya man and then turned his body  over to the hospital, which in turn autopsied his body to determine the cause of death, according to hospital management.
The victim’s family says that doctor’s statements and hospital management is lying because of the rudimentary surgical stitching from the top of the chest to the navel and believe that the doctors stole his internal organs.
