A French charity on Thursday provided aid to 160 Rohingya refugees in Malaysia in coordination with the office of the Global Rohingya Center (GRC) in Malaysia.
The GRC Executive Director, Farid Abduljabbar, said that the association provided school bags, books and study materials for these students, all of them young, in the preparatory stage and they are also in the Holy Quran Tahfees.
Abdul-Jabbar pointed out that these aids are very important at a time when the schools that embrace the Rohingyas suffering from the lack of recognition by the authorities and also a lack of financial support for the provision of books.
Abdul-Jabbar said that they are ready to provide such aid in the future and support the distinguished ones and transfer them to specialized schools to sharpen their talents and integrate them into society.
Abdul-Jabbar stressed the importance of a cultured, educated generation of Rohingya Muslims suffering from displacement due to poor humanitarian conditions in their home in Arakan, Myanmar.
