Afif Charitable Foundation signed a framework agreement with the OIC Humanitarian Funds to implement a project jointly funded by Afif Charity and OIC humanitarian funds in Myanmar to provide more than 6,000 food baskets to more than 32,000 beneficiaries of the Rohingya IDPs in Myanmar.

This came within the framework agreement signed between the two parties to strengthen solidarity in humanitarian action, unify efforts, harness available resources and exchange field experiences.
The two sides agreed to cooperate to raise, direct and develop the level of humanitarian work. The agreement was signed by HE Dr. Abdul Aziz bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al Thani, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and by Afif Foundation, Chief Executive Officer Mr. Ibrahim Ali.
The agreement aims at creating an integrated effort of both parties, and transfer the work to its highest potential.
For his part, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al Thani, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the OIC Humanitarian Funds, said that humanitarian funds are implementing partnerships in all humanitarian forums through cooperation with institutions and associations inside and outside Qatar to maximize human benefit wherever possible.
Mr. Ibrahim Ali, Chief Executive Officer of Afif Charitable Foundation, said: “What is witnessed in charitable and humanitarian work requires us to strive to conclude several agreements with the active institutions in the development and humanitarian fields, including the humanitarian funds of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, as well as the need for cooperation between the parties ».
He added: “The agreement aims at organizing strategic cooperation between the humanitarian funds of the Islamic Cooperation Organization and the Afif Charitable Foundation, which will enable them to achieve their common strategic objectives and to find a common platform for enhancing the regional and international presence and impact in the humanitarian fields. To develop the capacities of both parties and increase their opportunities to benefit from the available resources, and to cooperate in programs, projects and specific events, and to work to exchange experiences and share information and knowledge between the parties ».
