More than Three hundred Malaysian superbikers, who collectively call themselves WE BIKERS, have pledged to raise at least RM30,000 for the “Food Flotilla for Myanmar” charity fund.
The humanitarian project – held in collaboration with Kelab Putra 1Malaysia, World of Motions and SBK Motoworks, aims to deliver rice, medical aid and other essential items to the marginalized Rohingya community in Myanmar’s Arakan state.
“We are targeting a minimum collection of RM30,000 from concerned superbikers across the country,” said Datuk Razali Ramli, who is Kelab Putra 1Malaysia information chief during a superbikers’ get-together at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) .
“The funds are a combination of personal donations and money raised from various fundraising events organized by by our super biker friends.”
An ardent superbiker, Razali has personally visited Arakan while on his humanitarian mission twice.
“The Myanmar government has given us a little bit of flexibility in channeling humanitarian aid to the Rohingya,” he said.
