Ten innocent women from Buthidaung are being unaccounted for after getting on a ‘Malaysia’ boat.

The women got on the boat from Bangladesh after a trafficker promised them safe haven and good jobs in Malaysia.

However Rohingyas in Malaysia say that the Bangladesh based trafficker has sold them in the Thai red light district. They have been missing for more than three weeks.

A man in Malaysia says that he paid 6,000 Malaysian Ringgit ( more than 1.7 million kyats) to the trafficker for the release of a female relative. The trafficker took the money but did not release the woman.

Rohingyas often gets on risky boats with hopes of better life but these innocent people often becomes the sex slaves of the traffickers.
